The START Art Festival
Held on the 15th of July in
Basildon, it was a great success.
START artists provided an
art workshop which included ceramics, painting, face painting, portraits,
pavement art, a circus skills workshop, and youth drama.
Dave Seccombe and students
provided us with music.
A sculpture was produced
from rubbish collected from the town on the day.
The festival was supported
by other groups Moira Brock's " La Danse Fantastique" 'Essentially Essex', and
several others.
The Basildon Festival at
Watt Tyler Country Park
START had its own stand and
provided the same great events as at the START Art Festival, the difference was
that Dave Seccombe had his own spot on stage, giving a great solo
performance.
A sculpture was produced
from drinks cans promoting the recycling project
