"A Cultural Evening Would Be Nice...."

These will be talks given on the last Tuesday of the month at the Town Gate Theatre.

These “Cultural Evenings” will be given by START and other members of the community.

The event will comprise of a talk; which may involve slide shows, film and examples, and then after the talks drinks will be served. The speaker will be available for questions, and START members would like to get feed back from the audience and suggestions as to what kind of talks or demonstrations they would like to see in the future.

October 24^th    Peter Paterson

                        Peter will starting the ball rolling with a talk on the B.A.T (Basildon Arts Trust) following their most recent success, a fantastic Basildon Essex gallery in the East Gate shopping centre (Basildon), this was run with the help of START to great accomplishment.

November 28^th             Russell Nixon

                        Russell is an experienced travel photographer who has seen many interesting which he will be sharing with us.

January 23^rd                  Jamie Livermore

                        Jamie is the new acting chairman of START, a role he has taken on since the chairman Mike Harrington has moved on to other commitments, he will be telling us about START.

March 20^th                   Aden Hynes

                       Will be speaking and showing slides and exsamples of his work, as a professional sculptor, working in the T.V film and theatre industry. He will also give us an idea of what it is like running a sculpture studio, in is home town of Basildon
